Faith and Growth

Faith Formation

Faith is the human response to the loving revelation of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. In striving to best reciprocate the love of God, and to share that love with our fellow humans, we work to grow in our knowledge and understanding of our faith and God.

Kids and Youth

The goal of the St. Mark's Youth Ministry is to help youth grow in their relationships with God and the Church. This is accomplished through a Total Youth Ministry approach which includes activities that build relationships through community, help youth explore their questions of faith, and give the opportunity to put their Christian values to work in service to others. Almost every week, including the summer, Middle School and High School youth have activities that make this goal real. The Middle School and High School youth are independent of each other in some activities (such as Faith Formation Nights) while some activities are held in common (such as most service projects).

Prayer

God has graciously invited us into a relationship with Him. This relationship is both personal and communal. Through His Son, Jesus Christ, He speaks to us. In prayer, we respond to the loving God who is both speaking to us and revealing Himself to us. Prayer is not just words, but an engagement in relationship with God the Father, through the Son, and in the Holy Spirit.
