God has graciously invited us into a relationship with Him. This relationship is both personal and communal. Through His Son, Jesus Christ, He speaks to us. In prayer, we respond to the loving God who is both speaking to us and revealing Himself to us. Prayer is not just words, but an engagement in relationship with God the Father, through the Son, and in the Holy Spirit.

Eucharistic Adoration in our Chapel is available on Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If you have never had the opportunity to pray silently during Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, a one-page handout is available to suggest prayers and mediations in the presence of the Eucharist.
Eucharistic Adoration is also available with prayers in Spanish. For that schedule, please email Joe Walker.
If you would like to be a Designated Adorer (that is, committed to being present for one hour during Adoration), you may call the office or send an email to indicate the hour you can serve. Designated Adorers are registered parishioners with a current key card. For more information, please contact the office, 816-373-2600 ext. 386, or email Joe Walker

The Rosary is a prayer that helps us to meditate on the lives of Jesus and His Holy Mother. Even though the Rosary can be recited in private, it is wonderful to pray the Rosary as a community. Please come join us in prayer as we thank and praise God while asking for our special intentions.

On the 2nd Tuesday of each month our Men’s Faith-Based Prayer Group meets at 6:30 P.M.
It is a small group of men of all ages and faiths who pray together, share the joys/challenges in our daily lives and discuss pertinent topics that help us grow spiritually. Recent topics have included: judgement and forgiveness, aging process - looking for the kingdom of God, and the purpose of our life on earth.
Everyone in the group is at a different level in his spiritual walk and each person is respected at their level. It is a place to listen, share and grow closer to God. The greatest form of teaching comes from wisdom due to life experiences.
The parish community at St. Mark works to care for its members through prayer. The prayer chain is a collection of members who circulate the prayer requests that they receive and faithfully prayer for God's help and intervention.
If you are interested in serving the parish in this way, or if you have a prayer request that you would like to submit to the prayer chain, please contact Betsy.
