St. Mark's Youth Ministry is focused on Youth grades 6 through 12. This ministry brings together youth to discuss their faith development, share about issues that are relevant to them and most of all, to have fun! Youth Ministry is broken into four areas: Faith Sharing/Education, Service Projects, Social Activities and Youth Sponsored Parish Activities.

Junior and Senior High Youth Groups meet separately to discuss faith issues, current events and how they relate to our faith and to interact with each other in a social setting. Groups meet separately on Wednesday nights to discuss these topics and get to know some new friends. Topics covered include understanding the Bible, learning to manage stress, becoming the person God wants you to be and other current topics relevant to youth. We will also learn about the Liturgical Seasons and how those relate to Youth.
In addition to regular faith sharing and education, additional topics may be covered as a large group including abstinence training, safe environment classes and dealing with grief. We also attend the National Catholic Youth Conference in odd years and the Kansas City Youth Conference in even years.

We participate in a wide variety of service projects including but not limited to St. James Soup Kitchen, Habitat for Humanity, Spofford House, Salvation Army, Sisters of St. Francis, Ronald McDonald House as well as various projects around St. Mark’s. Service projects are generally scheduled once a month.

We gather for a number of social activities including an annual Lock-In, bowling, comedy clubs, Worlds of Fun, Royals games, hayrides and many other activities. Social Activities are generally scheduled one a month.

The Youth Group is also active at St. Mark’s by sponsoring activities throughout the year. Some of those activities include a golf tournament, a business Expo, the Rummage Sale and St. Nick and Me.
