First Sacraments is a program that prepares children for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Our preparation program combines family, peer and parish support with every other week classes for candidates and monthly parent sessions. Since parents "are the primary teachers of the faith", a family handbook accompanies the program to enable family participation in the child's preparation for the sacraments. It is the policy of St. Mark's that a child attends the Parish School of Religion for at least one year prior to entering into sacrament preparation.
