Our school day is from 9:30 to 12:00. A snack will be served once during the morning. A typical day would include both active and quiet blocks of work time, such as:

Prayer
We start and end each day with a prayer and say a prayer before our snacks.

Circle Time
A time to share experiences through conversations, show-n-tell, learning games and stories.

Center Time
A time to allow free exploration of the various centers (blocks, manipulative, dramatic play, writing, art, etc.)

Snack Time
We ask parents to provide snacks for their child's class, something nourishing. We ask for one box of prepackaged snacks each month.

Group Time
A time for science activities, story time, art projects or other theme related activities. During nice weather they might go out to the playground or play in the sandbox.

Music
Our music teacher teaches a sense of rhythm to music, which is important for reading and listening skills. She uses a variety of rhythm instruments. Many songs are taught for our family programs.

Gym
Our gym teacher will work on Gross Motor Skills with each child throughout the year: balance beam walking, skipping, forward and backwards, catching a ball, etc. She uses games, records, parachute play, a mini trampoline and other sources to help the child toward their individual growth accomplishments. In the spring we offer a Field Day of games.

Creative Drama
A creative drama teacher will visit once a month. She will teach the children to act out her special story time.
