The mission of Small Wonder Preschool at St. Mark's Catholic Church is to provide a Christ-centered, safe and creative environment that nurtures the child, encourages compassion for others and supports a love of learning. We promote the growth in each child's God-given talents and abilities and believe that an active partnership between family and school is essential. Our child-centered curriculum creates opportunities for each child to succeed by providing experiences that foster school readiness and assist the child to become a self-motivated, confident, life-long learner.

Your child is precious and unique and has the right to grow and learn physically, personally, socially, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually at his/her own rate. Each child and each family is a gift from God, and will be treated with love and respect. We work as partners with parents, sharing in our mutual interest of your child. We provide a safe and stimulating environment in which your child can feel happy and secure. To effectively reach and teach each child, we provide many hands-on activities using the child’s senses, memories, perceptions, thinking skills, learning styles, feelings, emotions and expressions of his/her thoughts and ideas. We provide quality early childhood education that is developmentally age-appropriate, providing opportunities to stimulate interest and imagination. Our teachers develop and broaden the range of learning experiences to promote school readiness and leave him/her confident, eager and an enthusiastic learner. All denominations are welcomed. Love of God and others will be taught through activities with games, art, music, science, learning centers, special visitors, field trips, parties, gym activities and the study of God's world.
